SUMMER DANCE CELEBRATION                                       AT HALSWAY MANOR

Join us to celebrate a joyful week with traditional and modern circle dances. 

A special residential event at a wonderful, comfortable venue,  featuring a feast of dancing !  This will be our 7th Halsway event, and if you’ve been before you already know this is a lovely venue for a dancing residential !
There will be time for fun and sharing and also space for solitude and walks.

Halsway Manor is situated in a beautiful rural area in the Quantock Hills in Somerset. The manor is Britain’s only residential centre for traditional folk music, dance, song and crafts. This wonderful example of a Somerset manor house boasts a history going back over a thousand years. Set in lovely grounds, the house nestles in the slopes of the Quantocks, with walks to the hill-tops directly behind the house. Come to this picturesque corner of the UK for a week filled with fabulous Dancing!

For non-dancing partners there will be the opportunity to explore this beautiful unspoilt rural area. There are plenty of walks from the door of the Manor, to explore the Quantock Hills, and Exmoor is also near. In the area there are many interesting places to visit: why not extend your stay to take in nearby attractions such as Dunster Castle, Coleridge’s Cottage at Nether Stowey, Hestercombe Gardens, & West Somerset Steam Railway? The area has so much to offer for a little holiday.

Programme :
The event will take place in Halsway Manor, Crowcombe, Somerset, TA4 4BD.
The event will start on Monday evening at 4:00pm and end on Friday after breakfast. Dancing will commence at 8:00pm on the Monday. The dances offered will be a celebratory blend of traditional folk dances and modern circle dances, with all dances carefully taught and repeated for maximum enjoyment. The event is not suitable for complete beginners.
If the weather is fine we shall be dancing outside for part of the programme.

Accommodation :
There are single, double and twin, and larger rooms with 3, 4, or 5 beds. There is a supplement for single rooms and for rooms with en suites.  Alternatively, onsite camping is an option, or you may prefer to find a nearby B & B.

Food :

Vegetarian meals are included in the price of the weekend, and a fish option will also be available.. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated if arranged in advance. The Manor has a licensed bar.

The manor is located approximately 12 miles North West of Taunton just off the Minehead Road (A358), past Crowcombe.

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD FEE is from £205 to £257 per person

Camping and non-residential options also available.
PLACES ARE LIMITED TO 38 DANCERS.
Non-dancing partners welcome (rates for accommodation only).

and return with full payment, or a deposit of £70.

Cancellations :
If you have to cancel a cancellation fee may have to be charged.
You are advised to have your own insurance in case of cancellation.
